Where Does The Junk Go?

This is a question we get asked every day.

At Capital Junk we strongly believe that not all junk is garbage. We pride ourselves on being Ottawa’s leading eco-friendly junk and rubbish removal company. We work very hard at finding ways to keep your unwanted items out of Ottawa’s landfills.  The teams sorts and separates the items collected and determines the best way to properly dispose of them.

When we collect household items, such as furniture, kitchen gagets, books, clothing, toys and so on, we work with many local Ottawa charities to try and keep all of the useable goods in the community.

When we come across old appliances, scrap metal, broken electronics , old computers, and even used tires we make sure that we recycle everything in a most responsible manner.

Building materials, such as lumber, old windows ,doors and bricks, are donated to local groups who refurbish and reuse them in projects across Ottawa. Capital Junk is a long time supporter of Habitat for Humanity.

We encourage all Ottawa residents to recycle card board, paper products, glass jars, plastic containers and alluminum cans. Recycling accomplishes three important goals: extending the life of landfill, assuring that alluminum, paper and glass materials are used to their full potential, and help save money.
